I haven’t shown any of my new work online for 8 months! Despite being fairly busy, I have not had the time to put any of it on my blog or website, but Fall is here and that is going to change.
Here is a sneak peak of a gorgeous wedding I shot yesterday. Despite the threat of showers, this beautiful couple had such a happy day that ended in an amazing sunset…Congratulations guys!

Magic?
I spend my days chasing little ones. Professionally I am a photographer/ graphic designer and more often than not that involves me face down in the grass playing peek-a-boo while an ant crawls up my leg. My “real life” as a Mama of 3 little ones is pretty much the same!
Why keep on doing it? The magic. When I see that sparkle in their eye just before they dart away from me. When I know for sure that I have caught just a tiny piece of what is “them”. Sure, I love making enchanted portraits of the wee ones…that is a whole ‘nother level of magic to capture. But it has to start with them, with that spark of humanity that exists from the first moment that they open their eyes.
This little girl has it in spades, and I had a great time trying to grab a moment of it for her portrait.

Fairy Bride
This is a “old friend”, I think I have known her since she was about 1.5 years old or so! Her Mama took this picture of her at their farm in KY (my hometown). I got her to email it to me, and I created a one-of-a-kind art portrait for her from it.
